Understanding and managing risks

When procuring goods and services, it’s important that we understand and manage risks. We carry out a risk assessment and maintain a database to achieve this.

We use these assessments to determine high-risk categories, which sometimes result in us:

  • asking more detailed questions

  • mapping the supply chain

  • performing supplier audits.

Creating a diverse supply chain

Our supply chain processes are transparent and straightforward, and encourage diversity and inclusion. To create a diverse supply chain, we prevent needless barriers.

This means:

  • using Jaggaer, a free, public access onboarding programme to extend potential reach

  • simplifying the onboarding process to support smaller suppliers

  • minimising the burden of supplier requirements wherever possible

  • attending supplier events to broaden our reach.

Due to legal restrictions, we cannot guarantee work to certain groups.

Buying for the future

Our future investment signals a new era of growth and transformation for YTL UK. There will be major improvements and advancements in the coming years.

This transformative leap will be achieved through a collaborative approach with our suppliers and supply chain partners, emphasising early engagement with the market.

By forecasting and forming strategic partnerships with our supply base, we aim to harness best practices and drive innovation at every stage of our operations.

This proactive and inclusive strategy underpins the importance of working hand in hand with our partners to ensure successful and sustainable outcomes.

By fostering open communication, sharing knowledge, and leveraging the expertise of our supply chain, we are committed to enhancing operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and delivering on our ambitious goals for the future.
